AI-Powered Matching

Understands your content. Not just your URLs.

Deep Match reads the actual content on every page of your old and new sites, then uses AI embeddings to pair them by meaning. It's the most accurate way to generate redirect maps — even when URLs share zero words in common.

// the problem

URL matching alone isn't enough

When sites get redesigned, URLs change completely. Your /services/web-design might become /solutions/digital. No amount of URL pattern matching will connect those dots.

URLs get restructured

New CMS, new information architecture, new slugs. The old paths are gone.

Content gets reorganized

Pages merge, split, or move to entirely different sections of the site.

Pattern matching guesses

Without reading the page, URL-based tools can only make educated guesses based on string similarity.

// how it works

What happens under the hood

Deep Match runs a multi-stage pipeline that catches matches at every level — from filtering junk URLs to semantic AI pairing. Every stage runs automatically while you watch progress in real time.

Step 1

Filter URLs

Strips out asset files — CSS, JS, images, fonts, PDFs, and media files — so only real pages are processed.

Step 2

Filter blog posts

Removes individual dated blog posts and keeps landing pages, so your redirect map focuses on the pages that matter most.

Step 3

Match exact URLs

Identical paths are paired instantly with 100% confidence before any scraping begins. No credits wasted on obvious matches.

Step 4

Scrape webpages

Concurrently fetches the HTML of every remaining URL on both sites. Retries automatically on failure with exponential backoff.

Step 5

Match HTML content

Pages with identical HTML content are paired by hash. A minimum threshold prevents false matches on boilerplate content.

Step 6

Generate embeddings

AI reads the core content of every page — stripping navigation, footers, and scripts — and converts it into a vector representation of meaning.

Step 7

Pair by meaning

Cosine similarity finds the best match for each old page across your entire new site. Every match gets a confidence score.

// transparency

Every match gets a confidence score

Deep Match doesn't just give you an answer — it shows you exactly how confident it is, and why. Every redirect mapping includes three similarity dimensions so you can make informed decisions.

Path Similarity

How closely the URL structures match

Title Similarity

How similar the page titles are

See alternatives. Catch ambiguity.

Deep Match doesn't just give you one answer. For every redirect, you can view up to 5 alternative suggestions ranked by similarity — so you always have context on what else was considered.

When two candidate pages score within 10% of each other, the match is automatically flagged as a near-tie for human review — even if the top score is high. This prevents false confidence and keeps you in control.

Up to 5 alternative matches per redirect, ranked by similarity
Near-tie detection flags ambiguous matches automatically
Duplicate-target and invalid-target warnings prevent broken redirects
